Commercial Sales Engineer

Location: Iraq, Basra
Summary of Role

The Commercial Sales Engineer will be responsible of all technical matters in area of operations of Basra. The role includes researching opportunities to identify new leads and potential new markets, studying the needs of other companies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver business plan and sales target via client requirements capture, commercial & technical offers based on company’s tools & drill bits capabilities;  
  • Respond and receive internal communications from other internal functions within FES and other group subsidiaries as, and when needed;
  • Perform regular visits to customers within Iraq operations area;
  • Collect Tender Documents;
  • Submit Bids and Tenders;
  • Attend technical meetings held by customers for purchased tenders / tenders of interest for FES as and when requested by management;
  • Collect technical information as requested by FES and/or any of its Principals and technology partners;
  • Collect pricing information, provide market intelligence and all needed information to enhance bidding process and increase award hit ratio;
  • Meet and visit end users for having technical and commercial discussions;
  • Perform marketing activities for scope of products and services for FES, its Principals, and technology partners to support the initiation of new RFQs related to FES interest;
  • Perform any other task assigned by FES / Group subsidiaries management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  •    The Commercial Sales Engineer should have a degree (or equivalent) Petroleum Engineering, or any related field. Three (5) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  •   Familiar with Drill Bits & Holes Enlargement.   



Logistics Coordinator

Location: Iraq, Basra
Duties & Responsibilities:
  •  Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and staff members on ongoing and prospective jobs

  • Maintain records, checklists and follow up on issues related to HSE and compliance

  •  Conduct research and identify new vendors and suppliers

  • Coordinate local procurement efforts and maintain database of existing ones

  • Visit the Basra city, Baghdad and other locations to locate the best sources of supplies and good required for internal use or clients.

  •  Monitor vehicle movements using IVMS tracking, ensure vehicles are properly fitted with devices, ensure compliance of drivers with rules, and develop reports when needed.

  •  Perform admin duties and support the logistical operations of the team when needed. 

  • File, scan and archive records related to equipment, vehicles, and personnel

  • Support with applications submitted to the government for the issuance of passes or permits when needed.

  • Work rotation:  3 weeks on work/1 week off

High-level qualifications:
  • An advantage to have previous knowledge in logistics, transportation, shipping, clearance, HSE, equipment, and procurement
  • Male, Iraqi National
  • Proficient in English and Arabic (written, spoken and comprehension)
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office with experience with some accounting programs
  • Ready to work full-time in Basra
