In 2012, Field Energy Services founded Al Majal Training and Vocational Qualification as part of its efforts to cultivate talent and develop the local workforce. FES has training facilities in Iraq. Through building strong collaborations with key training providers, FES delivers internationally recognized and accredited training courses catering to the onshore oil and gas, and industrial sectors.
FES further works closely with global companies, including ExxonMobil, British Petroleum, PetroChina, Schlumberger, and Weatherford, to provide local content services that help them establish connections with government bodies, local businesses, and prospective candidates.
The courses currently include:
CompEx Lab: This is the first and only lab in Iraq built to develop and demonstrate Electro-technical personnel’s competency in the selection, installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical apparatus in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Bently Nevada Lab: The first and only lab in Iraq built to provide technical training solutions ranging from condition monitoring and diagnostics, inspection, and measurement technologies, as well as controls systems. All courses are provided in collaboration with GE.
Valves Hands-on Training: Control Valves, Pressure Safety Valves, Actuators, amongst others
Welding and Fabrication: Welding Safety, BASIC Welding, Coded Welding, Welding Inspection PCN, Welding Fabricator Traineeship, etc.
HSE: H2S, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, Permit to Work, Hazards, First Aid, etc.
InformationTechnology: Oracle, Cisco, MS Office, amongst others.
EnglishLanguage: General and technical.
Construction Skills: Forklift operations, crane operations, scaffolding, etc.
Technical: Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Control, HVAC.
Management: Human Resources, soft skills, project management, leadership, team building, etc.
